Eligibility Criteria for GKS Scholarship Undergraduate 2027

  • Nationality: Must be citizens of countries chosen by NIIED
  • Education:
    • Bachelors Degree: Finished high school or associate degree
    • Associate Degree: Finished high school
  • GPA: 80 percent or higher or top 20 percent of class
  • Age: Under 25 years old born after March 1 2000
  • Health: Good physical and mental health

Note: Bachelors degree holders not eligible Associate degree holders can only apply for bachelors program

This year 367 students from different countries will get to join the GKS Scholarship 2027 Undergraduate for both Associate and Bachelor’s degree programs.

Important Notes for GKS Scholarship 2027

Embassy Track

  • Pick up to three different universities
  • Do not pick three different departments in one university
  • Include at least one Type B university
  • Putting a Type A university in Type B section may exclude your application

University Track

  • Choose only one university

Extra Points

  • TOPIK level 3 or higher gives extra points making up 10 percent of total
  • Direct descendants of Korean War veterans get extra 5 percent
  • Points given based on Korean and English proficiency
    • Korean Points based on TOPIK level
    • English Points based on TOEFL or IELTS scores

Evaluation Preference
