The Embassy of Korea in Kabul invites Afghan applicants to apply for the 2025 Korean Government Scholarship Program (GKS Scholarship). Applications for the GKS Scholarship Afghanistan 2025 are now available. This program is for students who want to study for a Master’s degree or a Doctoral degree in Korea.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2025 GKS-G Scholarship you must meet the following requirements:
- Age Applicants must be younger than 40 years old. They must be born after September 1, 1984.
- Nationality Applicants must be Afghan. Neither parent may have Korean nationality.
- Education Applicants must meet the academic requirements in the Guideline Applicants who are expected to graduate by July 31, 2025 may apply with a certificate of expected graduation.
- Exclusions Students who have studied at a Korean high school or university or who have received a Korean government scholarship before are not eligible.

Required Documents and Submission Process
Applicants should prepare all required documents as described in Section 5 of the Guideline. All certificates must be apostilled and the documents must be in the English language or properly translated

- Prepare your complete application and documents
- Email your application to the address kabul@mofa.go.kr
- Include the subject line: “2024 GKS-G Application (Your Name)”)
- Selected applicants will be asked to deliver original documents to the embassy either by post or in person
Important Dates and Selection Process
- Application Deadline: March 10, 2025
- Interview: Dates will be announced individually to selected applicants
- Final Announcement: Around March 22, 2025
