The Colombia Government Scholarship 2026–2027 is a full free program for students from any country. It pays all tuition fees, books, health insurance and gives a monthly grant of about $850 USD (2.5 million Colombian pesos). Eligibility Criteria for 2026 Intake

You can apply if

You cannot be a citizen of Colombia.
You cannot have dual citizenship if one of them is Colombian.
You really should not be living in Colombia when you send your application.
You must be 50 years old or younger.
You need to have finished a university degree, like a Bachelor’s or a professional degree.
Your final university GPA needs to be at least 4.0 out of 5.0.
If your country uses a different grading system, your score must be equal to a Colombian 4.0.
You must already be accepted into a Master’s or PhD program in Colombia.
The program must be on their official list for 2026.
You are allowed to submit acceptance letters from up to three different universities.

How to Send Your Papers

All your application documents must be mailed on paper to the ICETEX office in Bogotá.
The address is: Carrera 3 No. 18-32, Bogotá, Colombia.
You do not need to send the original documents. Certified or notarized copies are perfectly fine.
